Krash Slaughta ft. Phill Most Chill - Rebel Base 7“

Bild
Straight Outlaw Glasgow there comes a 7“ by Krash Slaughta called „Rebel Base“. Side A contains the original and Side 2 the Remix of „Rebel Base“.  A 130 bpm Hip Hop bomb with raps by Phill Most Chill. Oldschool Hip Hop Beats, broken on a high speed for B-Boys to Dance to. Starting with the beat and followed by scratches also on a high speed. This one reminds me of the first Hip Hop tapes i got from some skater friends in the late 80s with PE and other stuff  on it, also the beginning of german Hip Hop at that time. The beats are not only filled with raps and scratches, there are also spheric sounds, outer space samples and samples from sience fiction movies. This mixture makes this track explosive like a proton torpedo hitting the death star. You can buy this 7“ proton  torpedo on the big cartel site of Krash Slaughta:  https://krashslaughta.bigcartel.com/ With so much „space“ in those tracks ist only makes sense that the design is oriented at the Star Wars movies o...

Dusty Donuts Number 20

Bild
2021 and Dusty Donuts are back with Release No.20 and  Weapons of Choice No. 2.  No. 20 brings again two bangers with samples everyone knows. On side A is an edit of „Feeling Good“ by Nina Simone which was recreatet by J Dilla as intro to a Slum Village show. Nice pianobeats with the fabulous voice of Nina Simone. Sorry to say, that this HipHop-Tune first lent my thoughts to the amazing House-Version form 1997 by Huff & Herb, but that is nothing worse, just my emotions. I love this tune and the arrangement of it here. Just play it everywhere and all people will feel good and i hope they will smile like me, About side B there is only one thing to say: Kanye West - Golddigger! This 2005 track with „Ray Charles“ - „I‘ve Got a Woman“ to me is a alltime classic. So no more words needed. IMHO. Weapons of Choice is a Scratch-Tool 45 for all (mobile) Scratch-DJs „portablists“ with their PT01 Scratchs or Spins (just to name the two of the biggest namens in the game). Golden era Hip...

Dusty Donuts Number 19

Bild
T he year 2020 will end with another Dusty Donuts Joint. Dusty Donuts 019 will drop on 12 of December 2020 right before christmas and to get under your christmas tree.   A gain they are bring the mixture of solid Hip-Hop beats and the roots of the samples used to us. This one, No. 19, is by the new production team member DJ Goce.    O n the A-Side there is The Beatnuts "Ya Betta Belive It" with the origin "Family" by Hubert Laws. New member, same style. And that is nothing bad. "Belive in Family": a tune to get into the groove. Start your evening with this soulful candy filled with Discostabs and everything will be allright.   A  perfect mix of the beats with the style of the original brings a cool RnB style flava to this dancefloor gem.   O n the B-Side is my favourite of No. 19. "Who’s Phenomenal" That is because of that i love LL Cool Js "Phenomenon". For me one of his biggest tracks that doesn`t get mentioned so often. I 💚 it. Th...

Dusty Donuts Number 18

Bild
Dusty Donuts Number 18 is on it's way. Continuing releasing mixtures of source and sample here is number 18. On the A-Side there is a rework of the sources used by Ugly Ducklings "Rio De Janeiro". Using the Hook and Vocals by Mário Castro Neves & Samba S.A. "Nanã" and the Vocals by Os Cariocas "Samba Do Avião", this one is a 100 bpm latin banger dancing lightly over the beach of Rio De Janeiro. The B-Side is a rework of "It's so sweet here" by Rachel Sweet as it was used in "We Got The Funk" by the Beatnuts. Puting some extra Drums and Bass unter the original which makes this one a real Hip-Hop-Groover on the dancefloor. The DD018 is a summertime 45 with the A-Side to dance on a summer party at the beach with a  Piña Colada in your hand. Chilling and relaxing. The B-Side is the backyard-BBQ sound grooving with your friends into the sunset on a saturday afternoon.  Listen to those two tracks here:

Dusty Donuts DD016 and DD017 - 5th Label Anniversary

Bild
Dusty Donuts are back. With two Donuts for your 45 pleasure. Once again Dusty Donuts strike with homages to the early days of Hip-Hop. For their 5th label anniversary they are releasing two "Donuts" to celebrate the label. After listening to both on hearthis, i must say, that i love them all but i have one that i like a bit more.  The use of original songs that created Hip-Hop classics is a speciality of the Dusty Donut guys and they know how to teach you well: DD016: The native tongue 45. On the A side there ist the remix of "Just A touch Of Love" by Slade that was used for De La Souls "Keeping the Faith". Also used in this remix are the other Samples like "Could It Be Love" by Bob Marley that where used in the De La Soul song. The Use of the Bob Marley sample adds a little bit of highlight to this tune. Love the use of the sample. The B Side comes around with the samples of "Bonita Applebum" by A Tribe Called Quest. The trac...

45even Heaven mix April 2019

Bild
New 45even Heaven mix, April 2019. After the starter "Autobahn" from Kraftwerk, which was in German magazine "Musikexpress" as a blue 7", we get into one vs. another: "Origu/Our Label"  vs.  Breakin Bread     vs. A funky, hiphopy trip through two labels. ENJOY!

Yellow Flower Records on Bandcamp

Bild
Label from YF001 Yellow Flower is a record label from London, UK. The label is releasing instrumental Hip Hop from artists from allover the world. I found the label looking for new music on bandcamp. Actually i was looking for Dub, Dub-Techno or Hypnotic Techno, what seems to be funny because i ended with some cool down Hip Hop Beats. The releases from Yellow Flower are labeled Hip-Hop, Instrumental, Chill, Beats, Jazz and all of that fits into their sound. Oldschool beats with heavy snares, jazzy samples, funky rhodes, spheric synths in a relaxed tempo. All 45s are 4 track EPs with tracks from about a minute long to 3:30. Their design with floral motifs on the labels is very unique and outstanding. Every release with a new design but in one line so you can say where it is from. I 💚 this stuff! The only thing i miss is some kind of a box with more releases (like five 45s) inside. Get their stuff here:  Yellow Flower Bandcamp Here a sample of their style:

New DJ Bacon 45 on Bandcamp

Bild
There is a new DJ Bacon 45. DJ Bacon, that Australian guy that brought us  "Back in Hell/Sure Shot"  at the beginning of October 2018. He is back with two edits on one 45. "Sweatin on the Dance Floor" is a edit from "U make me Sweat" from the Jungle Brothers and "Dance Floor" from Zapp. This two make up a perfect oldschool party tune. This one is actually from 2016 but it seems to be a timeless dancefloor edit that makes your feet move! "Poppa Large" is a funk burner with the acapella from Ultramagnetic MCs Kool Keith with his unique voice. The instrumental is, as he writes on his Bandcamp site, from the Dapp Kings. This one is definetively my favourite. The b-boy swing in the funky beats and the voice from "Dr. Octagon" make this one something i don't want to miss in my 45 sets. If you love oldschool Hip-Hop, breaks you definitely will love this two bangers. DJ Bacon is, as it seems to me, an oldschool guy and i ...

Bild
The new Dusty Donuts 45 is on it's way. Coming in mid-December 2018 with two homage tracks to New York. Again we have two tracks that are originals to two boom bap Hip-Hop Tracks. On the A-side we have "Our Dreamworld". Known from DJ Premiers "Our Street" ft. A$AP Ferg and as original tune from "The Continental 4 - (You're living in a) Dream World". The Naughty NMX Harlem Mix is the perfect mixture of both tracks. The soulful Original tuned up with some DJ Premier like drums. On the B-side there is "Let Me Go A Million Times". Also from a DJ Premier beat. This time a remix for Jay-Z. "A Million and one Questions" is the name of the track. Aha, he did it again! Naughty NMX took the original of the DJ Premier sample and pimped it with some new beats. Latimore is the band and "Let Me Go" is the song. The two sides are a trip through NY. From Harlem to Brooklyn with two reworked originals, used in songs produced ...

Bild
News News News.. Tramp Records 45s released some new stuff. Today there was coming in the new "Number Nine Records" with German Hip Hop by "Teecain" (aka MC Teekanne) from Munich. "Rentners Rap" is about being retired as a Rapper and watching the actual business on a nice funky guitar beats. "Brudermuehl No. 1" is a more chilly Track.
