Beats House Records: New Djar One Edits!

Bild
Back on the track: One of my favorite Edits-Label, Beats House Records, returns in 2022 (yes, we have to wait much longer) with some new stuff. They announced 4 new releases (too little, when you ask me) for 2022. Three 45s and one LP. Once again Djar One shows his skills in editing stuff for pure dancing and asshaking. This time there will be two brazilian edits on the 45 called "Eu Bebo Sim" on Side A and "Marraio" on Side B. Both are around the same speed, i define as uptempo, e.g. "Eu Bebo Sim" is 124 bpm. Djar One did his best to make (again) funky edits for the dancefloor to jump around and have fun. I can't wait to put them on the decks and play them.  "Eu Bebo Sim" was originally released 1973 by Elizeth Cardoso and "Marraio" originally released in 1975 by Sonia Santos, which is, as i hear it, the source of this edit.   The release date is 04 February 2022 if everything goes well with the pressing, where some labels had trou...

Krash Slaughta ft. Phill Most Chill - Rebel Base 7“

Bild
Straight Outlaw Glasgow there comes a 7“ by Krash Slaughta called „Rebel Base“. Side A contains the original and Side 2 the Remix of „Rebel Base“.  A 130 bpm Hip Hop bomb with raps by Phill Most Chill. Oldschool Hip Hop Beats, broken on a high speed for B-Boys to Dance to. Starting with the beat and followed by scratches also on a high speed. This one reminds me of the first Hip Hop tapes i got from some skater friends in the late 80s with PE and other stuff  on it, also the beginning of german Hip Hop at that time. The beats are not only filled with raps and scratches, there are also spheric sounds, outer space samples and samples from sience fiction movies. This mixture makes this track explosive like a proton torpedo hitting the death star. You can buy this 7“ proton  torpedo on the big cartel site of Krash Slaughta:  https://krashslaughta.bigcartel.com/ With so much „space“ in those tracks ist only makes sense that the design is oriented at the Star Wars movies o...

New Daytoner 45

Bild
I hope you remember  Daytoner  the DJ/Producer/Band from Cornwall, UK. Their Northern Soul bangers "Need You", "Sicka" and the follow up "Second Stomp", "I Get By" are great 45s. Now they got a new 45 out. This 45 got some "Shedits" on it. One is a edit of "Apache" by the "Incredible Bongo Band" and the other is a Edit of "Beardsman Ska" by "The Skatalites". Two tunes you should definitively check out. The 45 is from the "Friday's Funky 45"-series and brought to us by "Dinked Records. New Soul Dynamite 45 announced / pre order

Bild
After their debut 45 in march,  Soul Dynamite  announced their 2nd release this weekend. The 7 inch vinyl will be out around July 31, 2018. This release is a Hip Hop 45 by Mr. Lif, produced by EL-P. The songs named "Return of the B-Boy" (Part I and Part II on the flipside) are two different styles and where first released on Mr. Lifs 2002 Album "I Phantom". Part I is a classical Hip Hop tune with deep dark 92 BPM beats in a kind of Cypres Hill style with some really cool scratches on the beat. Part II ist a more brokenbeatish track turning up the tempo to about 117 BPM (depending on how you count that broken monster!!!). The broken beats of part II are filled with spheric synthesizer sounds that are also providing a deep feeling. Part II is reminding me of the 1988/1989 Electro tracks "Professor X" by " Professor X " and also the "X-Men" by "The X-Men" that is on the same EP. This beat challenged the MC as well as me when...

One of their artists is "The Traffic" a group brought together by the guy who is also responsible for "Cookin' on 3 Burners" ("Cookin' on 3 Burners" hat a massive hit with the kungs remix of their song "This Girl").
