Straight Outlaw Glasgow there comes a 7“ by Krash Slaughta called „Rebel Base“. Side A contains the original and Side 2 the Remix of „Rebel Base“.  A 130 bpm Hip Hop bomb with raps by Phill Most Chill. Oldschool Hip Hop Beats, broken on a high speed for B-Boys to Dance to. Starting with the beat and followed by scratches also on a high speed. This one reminds me of the first Hip Hop tapes i got from some skater friends in the late 80s with PE and other stuff  on it, also the beginning of german Hip Hop at that time. The beats are not only filled with raps and scratches, there are also spheric sounds, outer space samples and samples from sience fiction movies. This mixture makes this track explosive like a proton torpedo hitting the death star. The description doesn´t really say if it is a 7 inch or not, but as it is a 45 Live release i expect it to be a 7 inch. 😉 For the 10th release 45 Live bring back acid. If you know me as a DJ you know that i come from electronic music and my big love in producing music myself is acid. I always wanted to have a 303 and a drum machine to make acid. (BTW i now own a TB-03 and a TR-08 of the Roland Boutique line 😉) As 45 Live say on their Bandcamp, this release is 303 and 909 in FULL EFFECT, but i would say "with some added breaks and samples". The song "Sticky Disco" by Type-303 is a acid track, sub genre hip-acid-house, using some of the most iconic "Acccccciiiiiid"-Samples that are out there and a cool piano chord that sounds as "Summer of Love" as the rest of the track. New 45even Heaven mix, April 2019. After the starter "Autobahn" from Kraftwerk, which was in German magazine "Musikexpress" as a blue 7", we get into one vs. another: "Origu/Our Label"  vs.  Breakin Bread     vs. A funky, hiphopy trip through two labels. ENJOY!

Label from YF001 Yellow Flower is a record label from London, UK. The label is releasing instrumental Hip Hop from artists from allover the world. I found the label looking for new music on bandcamp. Actually i was looking for Dub, Dub-Techno or Hypnotic Techno, what seems to be funny because i ended with some cool down Hip Hop Beats. The releases from Yellow Flower are labeled Hip-Hop, Instrumental, Chill, Beats, Jazz and all of that fits into their sound. Oldschool beats with heavy snares, jazzy samples, funky rhodes, spheric synths in a relaxed tempo. All 45s are 4 track EPs with tracks from about a minute long to 3:30. Their design with floral motifs on the labels is very unique and outstanding. Every release with a new design but in one line so you can say where it is from. I 💚 this stuff! I hope you remember  Daytoner  the DJ/Producer/Band from Cornwall, UK. Their Northern Soul bangers "Need You", "Sicka" and the follow up "Second Stomp", "I Get By" are great 45s. Now they got a new 45 out. This 45 got some "Shedits" on it. One is a edit of "Apache" by the "Incredible Bongo Band" and the other is a Edit of "Beardsman Ska" by "The Skatalites". Behind Soul Flip there are the two DJs Del Gazeebo and Aldo Vanucci. "Don't call it a comeback, for us it never went away." is what they say on their Facebook site. With Soul Flip they started to release edits of funk and soul classics. With that new style those classics rock every party even more. As i was into Mashups some years of my Dj Career, somehow i stumbled across "DJ Detweiler" and his "flute drop". Last week i found out through some of my existing Mashup Channels, that he has a limited 7" out called "The Eminem Paradox" together with "DJ Dadmagnet". The release is limited to 150 pieces. As it is not available for prelistening it is some kind of lottery to buy it. But you can wait till it drops and some one posts a video or snippet where you can hear it or just risk it and order one of the 150 45s you almost don't know anything about! Breakin Bread record label is part of a London based collective. Funk, Soul, Latin, Breaks, Beats and Hip Hop are the genres they are featuring. Jazzman is the over brand of some 45s-labels like FUNK45, SOUL7, Popcorn, Fryers, RnB Hits and more. These labels release all kind of genres from soul, RnB, blues, funk, etc. and of course jazz.  The idea behind this label or better how it started was, that the founder "Jazzman" Gerald had the idea of re-releasing old records that where hard to find or only available for those who could afford them. Or to make it short: that everybody could enjoy good music. So he connected with the right-holders and artists to make it possible that you can buy classic tunes on 45s.  In the Jazzman Store you can also get stuff from other labels and in other formats. Evil Ed is a Hip Hop Producer and DJ from the UK. He started his DJ carrier in the mid 80s and producing in the early 90s. His Production here is instrumental Hip Hop Beats. This Beats vary from heavy dark to light soulful. On his shop there is at the moment only one 7 inch vinyl available. The Release Ill Out / You & Me is limited to 300 Pieces. Dont know who is behind R.T.D.T. Records, but it seems that Jorun Bombay is involved with his releases in this thing. They are located in the UK. In this shop you can get mixtapes of Jorun Bombays "Rock The Diskothek"-series and also 7 inch vinyl of edits from 80s live Hip Hop action. First one (i missed) was from Kool Moe Dee vs. Busy Bee Starsky. The second one is from Sha Rock & Lisa Lee with DJ Jazzy Jay. Both are/where limited to 300 pieces not to be repressed. So go and check them out before they are gone! First World Records style is Hip Hop and Funk in all kind of varieties. Founded by frustration about  the actual releases in the music industry in 2003.  I found out about them as i saw the "Children of Zeus" 7inch "Slow Down / All Night" in my Bandcamp feed. This Release is a Hip Hop / Soul track, that reminds me of the Bad Boy / Jermain Dupri tracks that where out in the 90s. Especially the beats.  By digging to their backcatalogue i found some funky, brassy stuff that i really liked. The releases are not only 7 inch vinyl. You also get 12 inches, LPs, CDs and Tapes as well as some other merch.  The First World Records Store is a collection of artist stores that are sent together by the label if you order different artists. You have to get through the releases / artists to find your stuff what. As far as i can say, if you like futuristic sounds you should dig through this store to find some "jazzy beats", funky and "heavy basslines...

Boca 45s Picture of the 45 Live Radio Show Boca 45 is a DJ and producer from Bristol, UK and one of the 45 veterans. I wanted to write about his shop when the 2nd of his  "Club Donuts" 45 s dropped but it was sold out as it dropped. Don't know exactly when the sale started on march 29th 2018, but it was sold out about noon in Germany as i realized on my Instagram. Thats less than 24 hours for i think 200 45s that he sold on his bigcartel shop. There will be 100 more of the limited 300 pieces sold on juno online recordstore but you have to be quick for that one too i think. Daytoner is a DJ/producer from Cornwall, UK and also a live band. This 45 is from the band and on it you will find two funky (northern) soul tracks with a great female voice. This one sounds like original from back in the days but i think that this comes around with a lot of energy that, for me, is missing on some of the old records. "Need You" and "Sicka" are to tracks that will definitively move your feet and if you got the chance to see them live, check them out. The videos i've seen are amazing. 45 Live Records is the label of 45 Live. 45 Live is a website/community about celebrating the 45's DJ culture (as they describe it them selves).  On the label they release music with a mixxture from Breaks, Dancehall, Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop and so on.
