Beats House Records: New Djar One Edits!

Bild
Back on the track: One of my favorite Edits-Label, Beats House Records, returns in 2022 (yes, we have to wait much longer) with some new stuff. They announced 4 new releases (too little, when you ask me) for 2022. Three 45s and one LP. Once again Djar One shows his skills in editing stuff for pure dancing and asshaking. This time there will be two brazilian edits on the 45 called "Eu Bebo Sim" on Side A and "Marraio" on Side B. Both are around the same speed, i define as uptempo, e.g. "Eu Bebo Sim" is 124 bpm. Djar One did his best to make (again) funky edits for the dancefloor to jump around and have fun. I can't wait to put them on the decks and play them.  "Eu Bebo Sim" was originally released 1973 by Elizeth Cardoso and "Marraio" originally released in 1975 by Sonia Santos, which is, as i hear it, the source of this edit.   The release date is 04 February 2022 if everything goes well with the pressing, where some labels had trou...

Dusty Donuts Number 20

Bild
2021 and Dusty Donuts are back with Release No.20 and  Weapons of Choice No. 2.  No. 20 brings again two bangers with samples everyone knows. On side A is an edit of „Feeling Good“ by Nina Simone which was recreatet by J Dilla as intro to a Slum Village show. Nice pianobeats with the fabulous voice of Nina Simone. Sorry to say, that this HipHop-Tune first lent my thoughts to the amazing House-Version form 1997 by Huff & Herb, but that is nothing worse, just my emotions. I love this tune and the arrangement of it here. Just play it everywhere and all people will feel good and i hope they will smile like me, About side B there is only one thing to say: Kanye West - Golddigger! This 2005 track with „Ray Charles“ - „I‘ve Got a Woman“ to me is a alltime classic. So no more words needed. IMHO. Weapons of Choice is a Scratch-Tool 45 for all (mobile) Scratch-DJs „portablists“ with their PT01 Scratchs or Spins (just to name the two of the biggest namens in the game). Golden era Hip...

Dusty Donuts Number 19

Bild
T he year 2020 will end with another Dusty Donuts Joint. Dusty Donuts 019 will drop on 12 of December 2020 right before christmas and to get under your christmas tree.   A gain they are bring the mixture of solid Hip-Hop beats and the roots of the samples used to us. This one, No. 19, is by the new production team member DJ Goce.    O n the A-Side there is The Beatnuts "Ya Betta Belive It" with the origin "Family" by Hubert Laws. New member, same style. And that is nothing bad. "Belive in Family": a tune to get into the groove. Start your evening with this soulful candy filled with Discostabs and everything will be allright.   A  perfect mix of the beats with the style of the original brings a cool RnB style flava to this dancefloor gem.   O n the B-Side is my favourite of No. 19. "Who’s Phenomenal" That is because of that i love LL Cool Js "Phenomenon". For me one of his biggest tracks that doesn`t get mentioned so often. I 💚 it. Th...

New DJ Bacon 45 on Bandcamp

Bild
There is a new DJ Bacon 45. DJ Bacon, that Australian guy that brought us  "Back in Hell/Sure Shot"  at the beginning of October 2018. He is back with two edits on one 45. "Sweatin on the Dance Floor" is a edit from "U make me Sweat" from the Jungle Brothers and "Dance Floor" from Zapp. This two make up a perfect oldschool party tune. This one is actually from 2016 but it seems to be a timeless dancefloor edit that makes your feet move! "Poppa Large" is a funk burner with the acapella from Ultramagnetic MCs Kool Keith with his unique voice. The instrumental is, as he writes on his Bandcamp site, from the Dapp Kings. This one is definetively my favourite. The b-boy swing in the funky beats and the voice from "Dr. Octagon" make this one something i don't want to miss in my 45 sets. If you love oldschool Hip-Hop, breaks you definitely will love this two bangers. DJ Bacon is, as it seems to me, an oldschool guy and i ...

Easy Now Recordings

Bild
Easy Now Records from Melbourne, Australia is a label that mashes (mixes) Hip Hop and Reggae styles together into cool Party Blends. Their releases all have white labels with a stamp on it and they are all 45s. (Not the digital releases 😁) They differ between "Easy Edits" that are black 45s and "Ltd Editions" on colored vinyl. The "Ltd Editions" are released on 300 pieces and the "Easy Edits" are released on a smaller number of pieces. The sound is perfect summer music. As i ordered mine on a sunny day in may, i think that was the vibe i was into at this moment that made me ordering those 45s. Get your colorful summer tunes here: Easy Now Recordings on Bandcamp Here is a taste of the Easy Now Styleee, actually the Easy Edits: Vol 2, that i missed because i decided to long to grab one of the 100 pieces:
