Dusty Donuts Number 19

  The year 2020 will end with another Dusty Donuts Joint. Dusty Donuts 019 will drop on 12 of December 2020 right before christmas and to get under your christmas tree.

  Again they are bring the mixture of solid Hip-Hop beats and the roots of the samples used to us. This one, No. 19, is by the new production team member DJ Goce. 

  On the A-Side there is The Beatnuts "Ya Betta Belive It" with the origin "Family" by Hubert Laws. New member, same style. And that is nothing bad. "Belive in Family": a tune to get into the groove. Start your evening with this soulful candy filled with Discostabs and everything will be allright.

  A perfect mix of the beats with the style of the original brings a cool RnB style flava to this dancefloor gem.

  On the B-Side is my favourite of No. 19. "Who’s Phenomenal" That is because of that i love LL Cool Js "Phenomenon". For me one of his biggest tracks that doesn`t get mentioned so often. I 💚 it. The original track is "Who is he and what is he to you?" by Creative Source. Once again the mid 90s P Diddy, JD, etc. beats with a solid bassline get you in a funky mood when the voice is brings the soul to this track. 

  Both tracks remind me of 90s RnB like Blackstreet, Dru Hill, etc. A sound that shaped my first clubnights. Good pick by DJ Goce for the tracks and the Dusty Donuts Crew for this new member.

Beats House Records: New Djar One Edits!

Back on the track: One of my favorite Edits-Label, Beats House Records, returns in 2022 (yes, we have to wait much longer) with some new stuff. They announced 4 new releases (too little, when you ask me) for 2022. Three 45s and one LP. Once again Djar One shows his skills in editing stuff for pure dancing and asshaking. This time there will be two brazilian edits on the 45 called "Eu Bebo Sim" on Side A and "Marraio" on Side B. Both are around the same speed, i define as uptempo, e.g. "Eu Bebo Sim" is 124 bpm. Djar One did his best to make (again) funky edits for the dancefloor to jump around and have fun. I can't wait to put them on the decks and play them.  "Eu Bebo Sim" was originally released 1973 by Elizeth Cardoso and "Marraio" originally released in 1975 by Sonia Santos, which is, as i hear it, the source of this edit.   The release date is 04 February 2022 if everything goes well with the pressing, where some labels had trou

New 45 Live release by Type-303

The description doesn´t really say if it is a 7 inch or not, but as it is a 45 Live release i expect it to be a 7 inch. 😉 For the 10th release 45 Live bring back acid. If you know me as a DJ you know that i come from electronic music and my big love in producing music myself is acid. I always wanted to have a 303 and a drum machine to make acid. (BTW i now own a TB-03 and a TR-08 of the Roland Boutique line 😉) As 45 Live say on their Bandcamp, this release is 303 and 909 in FULL EFFECT, but i would say "with some added breaks and samples". The song "Sticky Disco" by Type-303 is a acid track, sub genre hip-acid-house, using some of the most iconic "Acccccciiiiiid"-Samples that are out there and a cool piano chord that sounds as "Summer of Love" as the rest of the track. New Dusty Donuts 45 coming soon.

 The new Dusty Donuts 45 is on it's way. Coming in mid-December 2018 with two homage tracks to New York. Again we have two tracks that are originals to two boom bap Hip-Hop Tracks. On the A-side we have "Our Dreamworld". Known from DJ Premiers "Our Street" ft. A$AP Ferg and as original tune from "The Continental 4 - (You're living in a) Dream World". The Naughty NMX Harlem Mix is the perfect mixture of both tracks. The soulful Original tuned up with some DJ Premier like drums. On the B-side there is "Let Me Go A Million Times". Also from a DJ Premier beat. This time a remix for Jay-Z. "A Million and one Questions" is the name of the track. Aha, he did it again! Naughty NMX took the original of the DJ Premier sample and pimped it with some new beats. Latimore is the band and "Let Me Go" is the song. The two sides are a trip through NY.
