New DJ Bacon 45 on Bandcamp

Bild
There is a new DJ Bacon 45. DJ Bacon, that Australian guy that brought us  "Back in Hell/Sure Shot"  at the beginning of October 2018. He is back with two edits on one 45. "Sweatin on the Dance Floor" is a edit from "U make me Sweat" from the Jungle Brothers and "Dance Floor" from Zapp. This two make up a perfect oldschool party tune. This one is actually from 2016 but it seems to be a timeless dancefloor edit that makes your feet move! "Poppa Large" is a funk burner with the acapella from Ultramagnetic MCs Kool Keith with his unique voice. The instrumental is, as he writes on his Bandcamp site, from the Dapp Kings. This one is definetively my favourite. The b-boy swing in the funky beats and the voice from "Dr. Octagon" make this one something i don't want to miss in my 45 sets. If you love oldschool Hip-Hop, breaks you definitely will love this two bangers. DJ Bacon is, as it seems to me, an oldschool guy and i ...

Here is something you should check out quickly. Limited 150 pieces debut 7" from Brisbane, Australia, DJ Bacon. Hmmmm Bacon. (Sorry for that, but i had bacon for dinner today 😉) DJ Bacon brings a mashup of AC/DCs "Back in Black" album and Run DMCs "Raising Hell" using over 100 Samples to create one song that is on a 45 now. On the other side there is a remix of "Sure Shot" by the Beastie Boys. This "rock steady"-remix is a funky tune to get you dancin' while the Beasties are chantin'. If you like to rock, dance, freak out to cool music, this is a 45 you should dig! Get your copy here: DJ Bacon on Bandcamp Listen to the "Back in Hell" Megamix here:

New stuff from Easy Now Recordings

Once again it is the b-side that got me. Why? Because of "Das EFX". The night before the official release i listened to a snippet on Facebook. Thought that it is a good release, but i don't need it to be shipped from Australia to Germany. The next morning, when i got up, i recived the Bandcamp notification about the release and listened to the a-side (again) and then to the b-side "boombap fever". Baaam thinking about that i don't need this one the lyrics from "Das EFX" kicked in and ..... ..... I NEED THAT. So Australia got me once again this month. After "The Traffic" DJ Maars got me. Check the release HERE .

Easy Now Recordings

Easy Now Records from Melbourne, Australia is a label that mashes (mixes) Hip Hop and Reggae styles together into cool Party Blends. Their releases all have white labels with a stamp on it and they are all 45s. (Not the digital releases 😁) They differ between "Easy Edits" that are black 45s and "Ltd Editions" on colored vinyl. The "Ltd Editions" are released on 300 pieces and the "Easy Edits" are released on a smaller number of pieces. The sound is perfect summer music. As i ordered mine on a sunny day in may, i think that was the vibe i was into at this moment that made me ordering those 45s. Get your colorful summer tunes here: Easy Now Recordings on Bandcamp Here is a taste of the Easy Now Styleee, actually the Easy Edits: Vol 2, that i missed because i decided to long to grab one of the 100 pieces:

Choi Records Australia / Cookin' On 3 Burners / The Traffic

Choi Records is also a small label that is on bandcamp. One of their artists is "The Traffic" a group brought together by the guy who is also responsible for "Cookin' on 3 Burners" ("Cookin' on 3 Burners" hat a massive hit with the kungs remix of their song "This Girl"). The sound of "The Traffic" e.g. is funky, breaky interpretations of well known songs like "Super Freak" from Rick James or "Like I Love You" from Justin Timberlake. Choi Records on Bandcamp As i mentioned "Cookin' on 3 Burners" before. They also have a Bandcamp Shop: Cookin' On 3 Burners on Bandcamp One of their last releases contains a funky, souly Hammond Version of "Enter Sandman" by Metallica.
