45even Heaven

I hope you remember  Daytoner  the DJ/Producer/Band from Cornwall, UK. Their Northern Soul bangers "Need You", "Sicka" and the follow up "Second Stomp", "I Get By" are great 45s. Now they got a new 45 out. This 45 got some "Shedits" on it. One is a edit of "Apache" by the "Incredible Bongo Band" and the other is a Edit of "Beardsman Ska" by "The Skatalites". Behind Soul Flip there are the two DJs Del Gazeebo and Aldo Vanucci. "Don't call it a comeback, for us it never went away." is what they say on their Facebook site. With Soul Flip they started to release edits of funk and soul classics. With that new style those classics rock every party even more. Jazzman is the over brand of some 45s-labels like FUNK45, SOUL7, Popcorn, Fryers, RnB Hits and more. These labels release all kind of genres from soul, RnB, blues, funk, etc. and of course jazz.  The idea behind this label or better how it started was, that the founder "Jazzman" Gerald had the idea of re-releasing old records that where hard to find or only available for those who could afford them. Or to make it short: that everybody could enjoy good music. Daytoner is a DJ/producer from Cornwall, UK and also a live band. This 45 is from the band and on it you will find two funky (northern) soul tracks with a great female voice. This one sounds like original from back in the days but i think that this comes around with a lot of energy that, for me, is missing on some of the old records.
